Poppy’s 9th Quest
Poppy’s 9th birthday was a swashbuckling adventure like no other, with a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed pool and slumber party that set sail on a thrilling quest for buried treasure. Aptly named “Poppy’s 9th Quest,” the event kicked off with a daring mission to find the hidden loot. Clues were scattered throughout the party, guiding each young pirate to their next destination. Dressed in their finest pirate gear and guided by three trusty buccaneers, the crew had to stay on course—or risk walking the plank!
The adventure began with a stop to fuel up for the journey, where guests were served tasty bites and received their own custom compasses—doubling as nameplates—to guide them on their quest. Next, they discovered an abandoned ship where each pirate found a duffle bag with their name, packed with a bathing suit and sleepover supplies.
The crew then sailed to a station where they received custom embroidered pajamas, complete with feather trim. Each guest got to pick their own pirate icons to be embroidered on their gear, making them feel like true seafaring scallywags. After that, they headed to the braiding station to have their hair adorned with feathers and beads—just like real pirates!
The journey continued as the little pirates made sand art and were fitted with their custom pirate hats, ready for the final leg of the quest. They finally arrived at the ultimate prize: the spot marked with an “X.” Here, they dug up gold jewelry and coins, celebrating their victory with a hearty “Yo-ho!”
With the treasure found, the crew raised their brown jugs and toasted to their successful hunt, indulging in treats like mini map cookies, candy apples, cotton candy swords, and a treasure map cake. As the sun set and the young pirates grew weary from their grand adventure, they retired to their sleeping quarters. Each bed was adorned with all the necessities for a perfect night’s rest: a sleeping mask, a quill for night notes, and a lantern for any midnight voyages to the loo.
The crew then settled in to watch Pirates of the Caribbean while snacking on mini treasure chests filled with pirate popcorn, ending Poppy’s 9th Quest with dreams of the high seas and buried treasure. Arrr, it was a night to remember!
